So here’s what!

Everyone is trying to sell something or the other in today’s day and age. Think about it. People are selling their talents, their products, services, so basically everything under this sky! Now, all of us wished that the art of selling was as simple, unfortunately, it is not!

But here’s the catch! The power as I call it that u came here looking for, it is the ‘correct’ Marketing…..*drum rolls*

You read it right! Marketing.

The Google definition says “the action or business of promoting and selling products or services, including market research and advertising.” is marketing. Did u get it?

Ok, let me elaborate!

Basics of marketing

  1. One thing we need to understand clearly is that marketing starts before the creation of the product.

I say that because before investing your resources you need to understand and study the following

  • Choose your target audience and customer base: the role of the audience is undoubtedly vital in the entire process of marketing. By understanding your target audience, you will be able to create a better product.
  • What your customer is actually looking for, Even before developing your product, having a thorough understanding of your customer's needs is the key to producing the right service/ product and intern achieve business goals.
  • The market of the product or services. understanding the requirements to meet the demand of the market and also having a good understanding of your competitors is very essential.
  • Your skills and expertise. Well, it is a combination of your skill, strength, and passion. Only if you are completely driven by your idea will you be able to engage with your audience and attract them.
  • Product Quality. the foundation of your product will always be its quality. Google's definition says “Product quality means to incorporate features that have a capacity to meet consumer needs (wants) and gives customer satisfaction by improving products (goods) and making them free from any deficiencies or defects.

A great brand starts with understanding who you are, what you stand for, understanding your marketplace, and understanding your positioning. What is the perception that you need to create in order to appeal to the target audience that you’re trying to appeal to.”

Re Perez

According to Peter Drucker, “The aim of marketing is to know and understand the customer so well the product or service fits him and sells itself…the aim of the marketing is to make selling superfluous.”

2. In order to hit the bullseye, you need to do Traditional marketing as well as digital marketing. Note that here I'm not saying traditional versus digital marketing. As I previously said, it is all about the market of your product, and that’s where u need to focus more.

Going all out in marketing be it traditional or digital is probably the best approach.

Soley talking about Digital marketing you need to play with an integrated unified front. Doing just social media marketing or SEO or just email marketing doesn’t change the game here.

Aligning and promoting your messages and your brand story in all possible mediums and channels such as Social media ads, Content Marketing, Blogging, Email marketing is very cardinal.

A strategic approach has to be followed by integrating all the channels for effective simulation of the targeted audiences to achieve a unified front., which will help in improving the engagement.

Integrated Marketing is also very important because not all the targeted audience will get attracted from one channel, for example, the Millenials will rather get attracted by a social media ad than an Email and on the same hand a much older person will prefer the later, therefore it is important as digital marketers to focus on all the channels equally to generate great interaction and communication with a wider audience.

Northwestern defines integrated marketing as “a strategic marketing process specifically designed to ensure that all messaging and communications strategies are unified across all channels and are centered around the customer.”

3. Building your personal Brand

“Having a personal brand is important for an entrepreneur because now more than ever, it’s important for CEOs and founders of companies/brands to come out to the forefront and connect with their audiences. People connect with people.”

Kevin Stimpson

Building a personal brand is like the backbone of effective and successful marketing.

Think about it! wouldn’t u rather prefer to buy shoes from Nike’s store rather than some regional brand! This is because Nike has built its personal brand as the best shoe company of our time. Here is the difference! It is all about the trust that people have on a brand, and that is what one has to achieve.

It’s important to build a personal brand because it’s the only thing you’re going to have. Your reputation online, and in the new business world is pretty much the game, so you’ve got to be a good person. You can’t hide anything, and more importantly, you’ve got to be out there at some level. — Gary Vaynerchuk.

Here you go with all the basics of marketing.

Now let's see how all this helps you to achieve what you desire, Wealth!

My mentor once told me “Wealth = n ^ CATT”.

To illustrate on simple yet a mindblowing formula let me elaborate.

Wealth will be your income and your success that you get.

Here n is the niche that you choose. Remember we talked about your area of expertise where your skill and talent lies! Your wealth will be directly proportional to the selection of your niche and your mastery over it.

[C] CONTENT, the quality of your deliverables be it a blog post, your product, or your service has to meet the industry standards.

[A] ATTENTION, integrated marketing is necessary for the product to reach the targeted audience, create a stir, and grab the optimum amount of attention.

[T]TRUST, build your personal brand! Make premium quality products and build a good consumer relationship

[T]TRANSACTION, last but certainly not the least convert your leads, the potential buyers into actual customers by the natural sales method

And there you go! You got your superpower that u came here for!
